The prose version of this story was originally published by Tyndale House of Chicago in 1993 but this verse version had to wait for e-books to become an easy way to publish. Read by children in countries far and wide in its prose format, Colin now reads it to you in verse.

I  wrote the verses in about 1987 but has only just now had the technology to combine verse, pictures and sound to bring you this wonderful listening/reading experience.

There was once a very short version of the verses shown in Australia as a television commercial and children memorised it within days. Even in the 2020s people still come up to me and recite the short poem to me.
